The past few days
I wanted to post new stuff days ago, but I never had the time to do so (aka I was too lazy). I took photos of different things. So this time, it won't be a report with some pictures but a huge picspam with some words. XD
First of all
Last school day
My last school day was weeks ago, but I wanted to post this one picture, just to show the world: We enjoyed ourselves. *lol*
Then
My home town
I took some pictures of my home town. A friend of mine did this some time ago and I thought it was quite interesting. Although it's not special in any way, I really like my hometown. So here it is. It was a not very sunny day and it was going to get dark too. Therefore there are not a lot of people around. ^^°
<-- I'm living in a building like this. In my neighbourhood, a lot of them are almost empty, so they're getting pulled down one by one.
<-- There are four towers like that in my town. In former times, the city wall was connected to them. This one I see often because it's on my way to the centre. Another one you can see at the bottom of this pic chain.
<-- This is the lake winding it's way through the city. A lot of water sport competitions take place here like rowing and stuff. It's not very interesting though. *lol* Since this weekend there will be a festival, I saw people build up the water stage. Every year there is a stage on the water where bands perform. Maybe I will take a picture then.
<-- Just a random shoot. It's the mainstreet. It does not look very mainstreet-ish when no one's around though. ^^°
<-- It's the building of the local press but there is also a bar and a gym. I just took this picture for my sister. Nee-chan, look! See the yellow writing? That's where I always go for training.... well, not in the past few weeks. ^^°°
<-- *lol* I had to introduce you to Fritze Bollmann! There is a song about him. Well, Fritze Bollmann is a barber that went fishing, fell into the lake and drowned. In heaven he was nagging St. Peter so much that he was sent back to earth. I had to learn that song in primary school.
<-- It is the first verse of the song. They are written around the fountain. I know some friends of mine are learning German and read this blog. Please do not learn this! It is dialect German and even I had problems understanding some of the other verses... >_<
<-- The second tower. That's it. *lol*
Preparations for the prom
Some days ago my class went to the hall we will have our prom at to practice some things. I took some random pictures and filmed my class mates doing weird stuff. XD
<-- The hall. Well... there are still tables and chairs everywhere. I hope we can do something about the light. It was just... dark. The stage was also not to be seen properly. >_<
<-- I just had to include this picture since Kristin usually hates to be on photos. But this time she is smiling!
<-- Posing.... kind of. *lol*
--> Two videos of my classmates doing weird stuff. XD Enjoy!
University Potsdam
I hope this will be my future university. Last week I went there a few times to look around and see what it's like to be a student. *lol* These are some pictures of one of the campuses.
(Random pictures, therefore no comments. ^^°)
And last but not least:
日本デー
4th June 2008 - "Japantag" in Düsseldorf. It was like a birthday gift from my parents. ^^ I was really happy to go there! Maybe it'll be a little bit too much to explain now what exactly the Japan Day is... but important is: it was a LOT of fun, I ate things I always wanted to eat (Takoyaki = <3! Curryreis = <3! Maccha Ice = <3!) and the fireworks in the end were really fantastic. I was filming a lot that day but until now I couldn't figure out how to get these files onto my computer. ^^° So I will just post pictures.
<-- Jenny and me. There is nothing more to say. *lol*
<-- I love these balloons! We were carrying them around all day.
<-- Waiting for the fireworks. We were sitting there for about 2 hours. ^^° But it was an amazing place to watch from. The fireworks were right in front of us.
<-- Just like this. *lol*
<-- This picture cannot express how great it was. Really... it was like thousands of shootings stars coming down right above me. The pamphlet said "Rain of gold above Dusseldorf" and it was exaclty that.
To come to an end: I love Düsseldorf. *lol* I love it for the Japanese food and for the festival and, above all, for the プリクラ machines! *_* Really... I want one to be in Berlin! I want to take photos more often. ^^°
That's it for today. XD What a long post! I hope you could enjoy it.
